Lane Community College Small Business Development Center, is committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect to assist us in processing registrations, marketing and advising. Lane SBDC is regulated by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

A federal privacy law, called the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, prevents colleges from releasing information about accounts, financial aid, or student grade and scheduling records to anyone but the student. Review Lane’s FERPA policy.

The Student Code of Conduct is the code that all students are agreeing to when attending the college. It states what a violation is, the action that will be taken for violating a code, and what actions you can take if you have violated.

The Student Rights and Responsibilities outline the rights that students have while coming to Lane and what actions you can take if your rights are being violated.

We Do Not Share Your Personal Information:

Lane SBDC does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. This information is for our use. Personal information is not available to any third party via our website or through other means.

In order to help diagnose problems with our servers and websites, when you visit one of our pages, we log:

  • your Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • the page you requested
  • the page that referred you to the requested page
  • your browser user agent (which contains information about the browser and operating system versions you are using)
  • information about the size of your request, if your request was successful, and what time you made the request

We do not link your computer IP address to anything personally identifiable. This means that user sessions may be tracked, but the users will remain anonymous (except when the user has logged into the site).

If you log into one of the listed sites, we also set an authentication cookie. This cookie contains identifying information which allows us to maintain your session with the site.

Some of our sites use Google Analytics to monitor traffic. Google Analytics uses cookies, stored on your computer and sent to Google, to help us analyze how visitors use our site so we can improve its usefulness. We do not have direct access to information stored in these cookies, and can only look at aggregated reports of activity, which contain no specific information that can be linked to an individual. Other information is collected only if you choose to send it. For example you may complete an online form, leave a blog comment, or send an email

We make every effort to minimize the amount of email correspondence you receive from us. We do not share or sell your email address to any third parties. You may unsubscribe at anytime or to view your data contact our office.

Use of Cookies:

Lane SBDC uses cookies to enhance your shopping and browsing experience and keep track of your order information. The cookies we use DO NOT store any personal information such as your email address, street address or phone number.
